A Respite Between City & Mountain

Throughout the Arcade are small structures designed to offer shelter  in bereavement, or simply from the elements. They offer a private place, an alternative place to perform rites of grief or respite close to the grave.

In a structure designed to form a mountainside, they offer small moments of intimacy, of homelyness, before the occupants move on, back to the city or on into the mountain.
