These sketches are from a moment where site is known - the inhabitation of Sewoon Arcade, with a general idea towards the manner of how a park / cemetery / memorial would wind its way through the kilometre long mega-structure.

Though this was drawn a few months before, somehow it still represents to me the manner of the completed (somewhat) Necropalace scheme. An ascent from city to the mountain deep within the urban horizon.

At this point the idea of the Necropalace occupying a vertical periphery was defined in a drastic physical manner. As the project progressed this distinction became more subtle, with an emulsion of memorial and mundane at their meeting. There is no moment of 'through the looking glass', this is not elsewhere, but otherwise.
